Back in May—amid the worst of the FAFSA debacle, stubborn enrollment declines, unnerving campus protests, and wavering public confidence in college degrees—we borrowed on speculation that it could possibly be “the worst year ever for higher education.”
But, despite these frictions, the year also sparked conversations about reinvention. AI's disruptive promise, resurgent brand awareness, the exploration of new student markets, and experiments in delivery models and recruiting techniques—the Eduventures Wake-Up Call has followed many of these themes from week to week.
Here we share five of the best posts from the past year, as judged by our readers. We thank you for your readership and wish you a very happy holiday season. We’ll be back in January to navigate the enrollment cliff, a new presidential administration, and to welcome Generation Alpha knocking at our doors!
Sincerely,
Cara Quackenbush
