Dr. Lisa Duncan Raines began her career in higher education at Virginia Tech prior to joining the administration of Christopher Newport University in 2004. She brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education leadership in the areas of university advancement (planned giving), scholarships, financial aid, advising, accreditation, admissions, assessment, career services, enrollment, institutional research, registration, and student services. She has held leadership roles, including university registrar, dean of enrollment services, and vice provost.
