Eduventures® 2019 Social Media Report
Eduventures Student Sentiment Survey examines the communication habits and expectations of college-bound high school students. The Social Media Report focuses on the use and effectiveness of social media for the purpose of college search. It compares the popularity of the top social media platforms and identifies the types of students who are most likely to use them as information sources. Survey findings suggest that social media has become a threshold requirement for recruitment marketing and is most effective when considered in the context of an overall digital strategy. This report also provides a high-level summary of best practices for social media as a part of institutional recruitment marketing efforts.
Conducted in March 2018, the Student Sentiment Survey collected information from more than 4,700 high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors across the country. Respondents provided feedback on their use of, and experience with, various college search information sources including print, email, and social media. This report explores the role that social media, specifically, is playing in recruitment marketing for Generation Z (Gen Z).
